As part of the preparations for the launch of the new market segment "direct market plus" for Austrian SME and start-ups, the Vienna Stock Exchange, together with the law firm Eisenberger & Herzog, aws Gründerfonds, Raiffeisen Centrobank and TPA, hosted an information event at Vienna's Park Hyatt on 27 November 2018. About 100 interested guests were welcomed by Christoph Boschan, CEO of the Vienna Stock Exchange, who gave a short introduction to the new offerand stressed the importance of a strong ecosystem. Under the motto "whoever says start-up must also say Stock Exchange", there was a panel discussion with keynote speeches on topics such as venture capital, corporate governance & "stock market fitness", opportunities through listings and on legal issues relating to the stock market.
