The Vienna Stock Exchange will be extending trading hours as set out below of 2 January 2009:
- Continuous trading on the cash market will start at 9:00 hrs instead of 9:15 hrs.
- In the mid market, the call phase will be prolonged by half an hour from 12:30 – 13:00 hrs up to now to 12:30 - 13:30 hrs.
- Continuous trading on the derivatives market will be prolonged by ten minutes to 17:40 hrs.
By changing the trading hours, the Vienna Stock Exchange is fulfilling the wishes of trading members to harmonize its trading hours with those of other exchanges. Therefore, starting on 2 January 2009, the Vienna Stock Exchange will offer longer trading hours.
