The Vienna Stock Exchange welcomes AT&S to the VSE

(Vienna) The Vienna Stock Exchange today announces the return of global semi-conductor manufacturer, AT&S, which to date has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. “I am delighted that AT&S has decided to return home to the Vienna Stock Exchange after years on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. AT&S is a first class addition to our group of listed companies and perfectly complements our other internationally active companies,” said Michael Buhl, CEO of Wiener Börse AG. Mr. Buhl firmly believes that the AT&S stock will show strong developments in Vienna - the same as the other “repatriates” to date.

According to the Management Board, the principal reason for the good performance of these stocks, is the higher degree of attention that listed companies receive from investors, banks and the media on their home markets. “Moreover, attention from international investors in the Austrian capital market is assured. As we have learned from studies, a large percentage of institutional investors on the Vienna Stock Exchange come from the US, Great Britain and Germany, and some 70% of monthly trading volume on the cash market is generated by foreign banks,” stressed Mr. Buhl.

AT&S is market leader in Europe and India, and among the world’s largest and technically most advanced producers of printed circuit boards (PCBs). According to customers’ demands a broad diversity of PCBs and different types of technologies are offered by the specialised plants in Austria (Leoben, Fehring and Klagenfurt), India (Nanjangud), China (Shanghai), and South Korea (Ansan). Moreover, AT&S maintains design centres in Bangalore/India, and Nörvenich/Germany as well as international sales offices, e.g. in Japan and the US. As a global player from Austria, AT&S drives a consistent growth strategy. For instance, the Company has recently reported year-on-year growth the sixth year in a row.

“The Vienna Stock Exchange is the logical place for a primary listing for an Austrian company and furthermore has a significant focus on small and mid-cap companies. This basically means more attention from small and mid-cap investors, which are so important for AT&S”, explains Harald Sommerer, CEO of AT&S.
