One of the largest Romanian brokers BRK Financial Group operates as new issuer on the Vienna Stock Exchange

(Cluj-Napoca/Vienna) A new issuer of certificates, SSIF BRK FINANCIAL GROUP S.A., has been active on the Vienna Stock Exchange as of today. The company is part of the BRK Financial Group (BRK), a trading member of the Vienna Stock Exchange, and lists its first certificate in the "structured products" segment. BRK is one of the largest Romanian brokers, a leading local market participant in the retail segment and one of the founding members of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

Monica Ivan, CEO of BRK Financial Group, says: "We are happy about making the first step in our project for the regional expansion of our certificates business by listing the first product in Vienna. As the local market leader in the certificates segment with more than 10 years of experience, this is just natural for us. The Vienna Stock Exchange is the ideal listing and trading platform for us, due to the strong connectivity of the Austrian institutions with the other regional markets.

In total, more than 20,000 debt instruments are currently listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange. Around 12,400 bonds from 747 issuers and around 9,000 structured products from five issuers (Raiffeisen Centrobank AG, Erste Group Bank AG, UBS AG, Intesa Sanpaolo and now BRK Financial Group). Structured products are designed by banks to offer private investors opportunities in any market situation. They securitise the right to participate in the performance of an underlying asset such as stocks or an index. In recent years, the Vienna Stock Exchange has become the largest debt listing venue in the region.
