Kazakhstan Traded Index Local (KTX LOCAL) is a capitalization-weighted price index and is made up of the most liquid and highest capitalized stocks of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE). The index is calculated in EUR and USD, and disseminated in real-time by Wiener Börse AG. KTX LOCAL has been set up following a cooperation agreement with the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange.The maximum weight of an index member is set at 20%. It is designed as a tradable index to be used as an underlying for structured products and for standardized derivatives (futures & options).
The base level of KTX LOCAL was set at 1,000 points on January 4, 2012.
