Since 1st July 2005, the French banking institute Cheuvreux has joined Wiener Börse as a trading member. Wiener Börse succeeded in gaining 13 international investment banks as new direct trading members on Wiener Börse in the past one and a half years. Currently, 40% of all equity trading is accounted for by international trading members.
"Joining the Vienna Stock Exchange will further improve the range of Cheuvreux's execution services on the Austrian trade flow, by offering its clients direct market access or electronic routing services on the Austrian market", said Francois Simon, CEO of Cheuvreux.
"The great interest of international investment banks in direct trading through Wiener Börse emphasizes how attractive the Austrian financial marketplace is and confirms us in our strategy of working to raise the acceptance of the Austrian market abroad", said Michael Buhl, Member of the Managing Board of Wiener Börse AG.
