Change in Supervisory Board of the Vienna Stock Exchange

(Vienna) Starting on June 19, 2009, the Supervisory Board of the exchange operating company, Wiener Börse AG, will change. David C. Davies, MBA, CEO of OMV AG, Dr. Franz Gasselsberger, MBA, General Director of Oberbank AG, Dr. Konstantin Klien, General Director of UNIQA Versicherungen AG and Carsten Samusch, Management Board Member of BAWAG P.S.K. are the new members on the Supervisory Body of Wiener Börse AG. This was decided at the general shareholders' meeting of Wiener Börse AG today.

The new members are replacing Manfred Kunert, CEO of Österreichische Volksbanken-AG, Dr. Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer, General Director of OMV AG, Dr. Helmut Schwager, CEO of CONSTANTIA PACKAGING AG and Mag. Alois Steinbichler, General Director of Kommunalkredit Austria AG whose mandates expire today.

The resolution was also passed to carry out a capital increase for Wiener Börse AG at the general shareholders' meeting. The subscription period expires on 31 July 2009; therefore, the new ownership structure of Wiener Börse AG will be clear by August 2009.

Results of Wiener Börse AG for 2008

The financial statements of Wiener Börse AG for 2008 were also presented at the general shareholders' meeting: operating result (EBIT) 2008 was EUR 43.06m (2007: EUR 42.61m) and profit on ordinary business activities for 2008 was EUR 40.55m (2007: EUR 50.95m). The decline in profit on ordinary business activities was caused mainly the reversal of financial assets to finance the acquisition of the majority stakes in the stock exchanges of Budapest, Ljubljana and Prague last year.
