(Vienna) Effective today, AGRANA Beteiligungs-AG will be included in the ATX Global Players Index. The yearly review showed that more than 20% of the company's revenues are generated outside Europe. The sugar, starch and fruit group will thus become the 15th index member with immediate effect. In addition, the new composition of the ATX five (inclusion of Wienerberger, deletion of BAWAG) and the new free float factors enter into force today.
The ATX Global Players reflects Austrian prime market companies that generate over 20% of their revenues on the world market. The composition is reviewed once a year (in September). The index calculation and publication takes place in real time and is based on a quantitative methodology laid down in a set of rules. The maximum weight in the index is corrected to 20% every quarter. The currently most strongly represented sectors are Production Technology & Machinery (27%), Mining & Metals (24%), Chemicals (13%), Hardware & Equipment (12%) and Oil & Gas (7%).
